Meredith McDiarmid became John Carroll's all-time leader in career assists Saturday
It was a mixed bag weekend for the John Carroll volleyball team, as Friday was wonderful while Saturday was a bit sour -- with one notable exception.
At the Marcia French Memorial Tournament held Friday at Baldwin-Wallace, the Blue Streaks rolled to wins over Westminster (25-13, 22-25, 25-18, 25-14) and Earlham (25-18, 25-22, 25-15). The scene then shifted to Case Reserve on Saturday, and the JCU fortunes shifted as well in losses to the host Spartans (21-25, 25-21, 16-25, 18-25) and Wooster (21-25, 13-25, 16-25).
