John Carroll pulled alongside host Mount Union after two games tonight in an Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball match-up played at The McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex in Alliance.
Apparently, the Purple Raiders thought that was too close for comfort.
Despite their best efforts, the Blue Streaks lost for the fourth time in as many chances on the OAC schedule to Mount Union by a 25-12, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22 count.

Mount Union (18-5, 4-0) remained undefeated in league play thanks to eight kills from the OAc's leading hitter Taylor Webb and seven each from Deanna Glass, Nicole Snyder and Melanie Patterson.
John Carroll (8-13, 0-4) was led by Charlotte Sykora with 13 kills, Kerry Fox with 24 assists and Jess Hammer with 12 digs.
