Blue Streak sophomores Kayla Acklin and Genny Goergen were named by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) to the Division III Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District Seven second team for their outstanding accolades on the field as well as in the classroom. 

Acklin, a forward for the Blue Streaks, is a forensic psychology major and maintains a 3.89 GPA.  Midfielder Genny Goergen also holds an outstanding GPA of 3.81, and is a double major in Economics and English.  

Both Goergen and Acklin were also tremendous on the field in 2011 helping the Blue Streaks reach their first OAC Championship match since 2001.  Goergen and Acklin combined for six total goal, and sixteen points during a season which ended in the OAC final.

This is the first Academic All-District honor for both players

CoSIDA District Seven encompasses all Division III schools from the states of Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
