Kerry Fox played her way on to the all-tournament team as JCU finished with three wins in four matches
John Carroll finished the season-opening two day Elmhurst Invitational with a 3-1 record, losing just one match to nationally-ranked University of Chicago while sweeping two of its opponents.

After opening with a 3-0 win over Beloit, JCU closed out Friday's competition with a 3-0 win over Lake Forest -- significant in that Lake Forest had just rallied to defeat John Carroll's OAC rival Capital in five games.
After a 3-0 loss to Chicago in its first match Saturday, the Blue Streaks survived a four-game tussle with Adrian. A 31-29 third frame helped propel JCU to its tournament-ending triumph.
Kerry Fox was named all-tournament for her efforts which included 99 assists and 21 kills.
