John Carroll senior pitcher Brittany Danilov has been selected to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District VII First Team in recognition of her dominance on the softball field, coupled with her scholastic prominence.

Already named the Ohio Athletic Conference's Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year, Danilov has compiled 2012 numbers worthy of these accolades and more. 

Through 43 games, she has a 22-5 record and a 2.52 ERA in the circle.  Her 198 strikeouts are 87 more than the next OAC pitcher in that category.  Danilov has tossed 20 complete games, five shut-outs, and her first career no-hitter this season.

Her brilliance in the pitching circle has rocketed the Blue Streaks to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, which will commence on Thursday, May 10 at 12:00 noon in Alma, Michigan.

Danilov was a member of the Capital One Academic All-District IV Second Team in 2011.
