John Carroll jumped out quickly but could not sustain the momentum in a four-set loss at the College of Wooster in a non-conference volleyball affair Tuesday evening.
The Blue Streaks rolled to a 26-24 win in the opening frame, but the Fighting Scots won the next three to close out the match. In the final game, Wooster did not commit an attacking error as the Blue Streaks' modest two-match winning streak was halted.
Charlotte Sykora (13) and
Sarah Slagle (12) had 25 of John Carroll's 43 kills, while
Sara Kaminski had a match-high 23 digs. Kaminski has recorded at least 12 digs in seven of her last eight outings.
Wooster improves to 6-3 with the win while JCU drops to 3-7.
