Volleyball Earns Five Set Win Over Carnegie Mellon

The Blue Streaks have defeated two opponents this week they lost to earlier this season.
Box Score For the second time this weekend the John Carroll University volleyball team dominated a team it had previously lost to earlier in the season.

John Carroll made sure it would not lose another heartbreaking five-set match to Carnegie Mellon and took the match 25-11, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12.

Freshman Kit O'Shaughnessy recorded her first triple-double with 47 assists, 15 digs and 11 kills. Joining O'Shaughnessy with over 10 kills was Jessica Kodrich, Sarah Orlandi and Leah Switalski.

Sara Kaminski led the defense with 36 digs while Switalski chipped in with 10 digs from her middle blocker position to earn her first double-double.

The volleyball team will get a two hour break before taking on Geneva College at 3 p.m.
