The volleyball team will ride a six match win streak into OAC play.
Box Score After an up-and-down start, the John Carroll University volleyball team has found the perfect time for a six-match win streak.
With OAC play just around the corner the Blue Streaks have already recorded more wins, 12, than they did all of last year. Additionally, it was JCU's first six-match win streak since the 2010 season.
"The girls have been working really hard in practice, and it's great that it paid off with some nice wins this weekend," said head coach
Laura Rodeffer. "We still have areas we need to improve in leading up to conference play, but I'm please with the team dynamic we've shown over the last couple of weeks."
The Blue Streaks cruised to a 26-24, 25-17, 25-14 win to improve to 12-6.
Alexa Webber erupted for John Carroll. The freshman recorded 16 kills while hitting .433 for the match.
Leah Switalski added 10 kills and hit .571. Sophomore
Sara Kaminski continued to pace the defense with 21 digs.
John Carroll makes its long-awaited home debut against Otterbein at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
