As the swim schedule resumed Friday night following a training period in Florida, the John Carroll men's swimming team hoped to make a big splash upon their return to competition.
Instead, the Blue Streaks ran into an inspired Wilmington team that wanted nothing more than to post a second consecutive win over JCU. The result was a 119-86 victory by the host Quakers Friday night.
Results
Last year, WIlmington won by the smallest of margins, 102-101, to post its first victory in program history over John Carroll. This year, the Quakers won nine of eleven events to remove all drama from the meet.
The lone JCU wins were turned in by
Gabe Nock in the 50 Free (24.84), and the 200 Free Relay of Nock,
John Scantling,
David Sved and
Nick Holvey (1:40.78).
The loss drops John Carroll's record to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the OAC.
