The women's tennis team swept Capital on Sunday.
With its second match in two days the John Carroll University women's tennis team was able to even out its OAC mark with a 9-0 sweep over Capital on Sunday.
John Carroll jumped out to a quick start at No. 2 doubles with
Ivana Didovic and
Katherine Devine cruising to an 8-1 win. Following suit were
Catherine Engel and
Anna Stein (8-4) as well as
Corinne Hendrock and Josephine Miller (8-6).
The Blue and Gold continued their dominance in singles play with neither player dropping a set. Hendrock only dropped one game in her 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
Dropping three games or less on the day in singles play were Engel (6-2, 6-0), Devine (6-3, 6-0) and Didovic (6-3, 6-0).
John Carroll's record now stands at 7-9, 3-3 OAC while Capital fell to 1-8, 1-5 OAC.
The women's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. match at Ursuline College.
