John Carroll would fall to crosstown rival and 12th-ranked Case Western Reserve University 8-1 inside the Oakwood Club in South Euclid, Ohio.

Nick Siciliano picked up JCU's lone win of the evening. The sophomore grinded out a 7-6, 2-6, 11-9 win at No. 4 singles over Bas van Lent.

CWRU quickly picked up all three doubles points. Siciliano and
Jad Abdul-Aal would drop an 8-1 match in the No. 1 position.
Kyle Mollison and
Alex Guthrie fell 8-2 at No. 2.
Scott Adsit and
Dillon O'Brien would fall 8-2 at No. 3.

The Spartans would win the remaining five singles matches in straight sets. Abdul-Aal dropped a 7-5, 6-1 tilt at No. 1 to CJ Krimball, the top ranked singles player in the central region. Mollison fell 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2. Guthrie dropped a 6-1, 6-1 match at No. 3. Adsit fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and O'Brien dropped a 6-3, 6-3 match at No. 6.
CWRU improved to 12-7 while JCU fell to 2-10.
