John Carroll did pick up a 9-0 win over North Central, the lone Division III opponent on the trip, on Thursday. Â The team started its week dropping a 7-2 contest against Division II Florida Tech. The team would fall 9-0 to Southeastern (NAIA), Walsh (Division II) and Eckerd (Division II).

John Carroll cruised against North Central. The Blue and Gold recorded 8-0 doubles wins at Nos. 2 and 3.
Kyle Mollison and
Alex Guthrie topped Alex Bird and Josh Lee at No. 2 while
Scott Adsit and
Dillon O'Brien pitched the other shutout.
Jad Abdul-Aal and
Nick Siciliano gave JCU a doubles sweep at 8-2.

Three Blue Streaks did not lose a game in singles play against North Central in Abdul-Aal (No. 1), Mollison (No. 2) and Sciliano (No. 4). Guthrie and O'Brien each only dropped one game in their respective singles matches.

Abdul-Aal had a hand in JCU's other two wins of the week. The sophomore topped FIT's Beau Fieldsend 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 in singles play. He would team with Siciliano to beat Patrick Hernandez and Wade Ball 8-6 in doubles.

The men's record stands at 1-8 after the Florida trip. John Carroll returns to action at Oberlin on Saturday, March 14.
