In an election year, the John carroll men's track & field program acted as if it were on the campaign trail this weekend,
Some competed in Berea, some in Findlay, and some at the SPIRE Institute. JCU had strong showings in all three locales.

Findlay ClassicThrowers went to Baldwin Wallace Friday, and several placed near the top of their fields.
JJ Bost was fourth in the shot put (13.02 meters) and seventh in the weight throw (12.72 meters)
Matt Cubberly also had a top five finish in the shot put (5th, 12.46 meters), while
Nate Hunter did the same in the weight room (5th, 13.76 meters)
Matt Andrews and
Patrick O'Brien had strong efforts in the 3,000-meter run Saturday. Andrews won the prestigious event, clocking in at 8:40.37, while O'Brien was ninth in 8:45.08.
Andrew Snyder also had a top ten effort in the 5000-meter run, placing eighth in 15:30.34.
At Findlay on Saturday,
Will Cameron became a JCU record-setter by winning the 600-meter run in 1:23.77. Mike Hydzik was fourth in 1:24.96.
In the 800-meter run,
Ryan Scanlon was second in 1:57.42, while Kyle Monohan was sixth in 2:03.05.
Corey Large was eighth in the 1000-meter run (2:40.71).
The 60 hurdles featured two Blue Streaks in the final --
Frankie Caponi was third in 8.55, while
John Iannetta was seventh in 8.91.
The 4 x 400 relay of Iannetta, Jonathan Radney, Hydzik and Cameron placed fifth in 3:29.88.
Adam North finished fourth in the long jump (6.49 meters / 21-02) and
Tyler Jew took eighth in the triple jump (11.45 meters / 37-06 3/4)
