A small but sturdy contingent of Blue Streaks battled the blustery cold trek down to Westerville Saturday to compete in the Division III All-Ohio Championships at Otterbein University.
The trip proved worth the while, as John Carroll finished 11th out of 17 teams and had some outstanding performances as part of their efforts.

Kyle Basista believes to be the second fastest time in program history. Their time of 4:04.84 also eanred them second place by just four-tenths of a second behind Wittenberg (4:04.44).
On the 4 x 200 Relay, Nyaanga, Martinko and Powell joined with
Emmy Jenkins to take eighth in 1:50.84.

Alyssa Biedron,
Alainna Schmidt and Jessica Swisher -- also finished in the points, placing seventh in 12:56.91.
Jenkins contributed a scoring effort in the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 8.00 flat to place third. She had a 7.96 effort in her preliminary race.
Becky Rohwer scored twice in her two races. She finished sixth in the mile run (5:18.92) and seventh in the 800-meter run (2:24.52).
In the 3,000-meter run, two Blue Streaks finished in the top eight.
Schasia Modrzynski was the runner-up in 10:16.46, while
Erin Kiley took eighth in 10:36.50.
Lauren Gornik had a solid showing in the 5000-meter run, as her time of 18:58.72 placed her in the scoring in the eighth slot
John Carroll also competed at the Mid-February Meet hosted by Baldwin Wallace Friday, placing seventh of 15 teams with 38 points. Bufalo State scored 158 in winning the title by a substantial margin.

Emma Harvey was fourth (1:26.86) and Schmidt took fifth (1:26.89)
Crystal Hajek was a fourth place finisher in the 1000-meter run (3:33.17).
The long jump saw a point haul with
Katelyn Frandanisa taking fourth (5.09 meters) and
Nicole Pilewski placing fifth (5.02 meters).
Frandanisa also took seventh in the triple jump (9.56 meters) to finish in the points.
