The John Carroll women's team, seeded first in the eight-team field, made a quick run to five victories by winning all three doubles matches and closing out two singles matches in rapid fashion for 5-0 triumph over eighth-seeded Muskingum University in a quarterfinal round match Tuesday at Ursuline College.

The Blue Streaks won the doubles matches by a combined score of 24-1.
Lauren O'Malley and
Madisyn Rini won 8-0 at #1, as did
Nicolette Bourlas and
Natalie Bourlas at #3.
Catherine Engel and
Jennifer Stroyne won in the #2 match by an 8-1 score.
Ahead 3-0, JCU needed just two wins in singles play to clinch the victory and advance to the OAC semifinal round in Cincinnati. The Blue Streaks got those wins in the #5 and #6 matches.
Natalie Bourlas won by a 6-0 6-0 score over Katie King in the fifth singles match, while
Andreja Didovic defeated Sydney McDaniel by the identical score in the sixth singles match.
The victory moves John Carroll on to the semifinals Friday, where they will face Baldwin Wallace at 1:00 p.m. in a match to be played at the lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio. JCU defeated Baldwin Wallace, 9-0, during the regular season. Otterbein and Ohio Northern will meet in the other semifinal, with the two winners facing off in the title bout on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
