John Carroll was feeling good about itself after beginning the week as the #4 ranked team in the Division III Great Lakes Region. An opportunity to perhaps get some national recognition beckoned at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships Friday at Cedarville University.
That opportunity may have to wait another day, however, as the Blue Streaks wound up fifth in the All-Ohio competition.
Ohio Northern, which began the week ranked #7 in the region, stands to gain from its title this afternoon, scoring 56 points to beat higher ranked teams such as #4 John Carroll (finished 5th, 101 points), #5 Mount Union (finished 4th, 94 points) and #3 Otterbein (finished third, 84 points). Case Western Reserve, currently ninth in the region, was the All-Ohio runner-up at 74 points.
