Over their spring break, the John Carroll rowing team traveled to Lake Lure, North Carolina for a week of intensive rowing and training. Throughout the week, the team was able to improve on the water and prepare themselves for their upcoming spring season over the course of 13 practices.
Heavily anticipated by the team, this training trip allows them to get out on the water for the first time in several months. Although the temperatures were not much warmer than those on the Cuyahoga, the team took the conditions in stride and made the most of the opportunity. In addition to rowing, the team participated in many bonding activities, including a trip to Asheville, North Carolina.
Now that they have returned to Cleveland, the team is focusing their efforts towards their Homeschools Regatta. Only two weeks away, this first regatta will provide a great opportunity for the team to showcase all of their hard work.Â
