Less than 24 hours from its win against Ashland University, John Carroll returned to the Johnson Natatorium to take on the Quakers of Wilmington College.
John Carroll went 2-0 in the weekend, controlling the meet against Wilmington with a score of 164.5-99.5

The seven seniors who competed for the final time at home today (Adam Bozvai,
Jack Garrow,
Evan McGory,
Peter Neal,
Tom Pacak,
Egan Paul, and
Ryan Singler) were able to help the Blue Streaks complete the OAC schedule undefeated for the first time since 2004.Â
John Carroll's "B" team, consisting of Singler, Neal,
Mason Beck, and
Matt Ramsey touched first with a time of 1:38.47 in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. Following in right after with a time of 1:39.92 was the "A" team of
Jackson Cooper,
Forrest Campbell,
Adam Lenz, and Pacak.
Freshman Matt Pietsch's first place finish, with a time of 10:24.67, was the start of a 1-2-3 sweep in the 1000 Yard Freestyle. Teammates
Adam Bozsvai and
Eric Andrews swam in after Pietsch, claiming second and third, respectively.
Patrick Folan won the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:51.58.
Chris Soules came in just a second behind at 1:52.51 for third place.
Lenz and Singler packed a 1-2 punch in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Their times of 55.63 and 57.13 placed them at first and second, respectively
Ramsey tied with Wilmington's Freddie Rankin for first place in the 100 Breaststroke with a tie of 1:02.95.
Erik Sriubas came in behind Ramsey and Rankin for third place at 1:06.22.
Garrow,
Keegan Manderfield, and Pacak swept with 50 Yard Freestyle. Garrow claimed first with a time of 22.94 with Manderfield and Pacak touching second and third, respectively.
Singler kept his good day going as he won the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 50.25. Pacak and Manderfield swam in after with third and fourth place finishes.
Forrest Campbell, Sriubas, and
Evan Gainous claimed top three places in the 200 Yard Backstroke. Campbell came in first with a time of 2:01.36, with Sriubas and Gainous following in suit, taking second and third place.
Beck and Paul represented the blue and gold claiming first and second in the 200 Yard Breaststroke. Beck finished in 2:17.88 and Paul finished in 2:21.77. Ben Rancilio and Andrews followed suit, placing first and second in the 500 Yard Free with times of 5:02.97 and 5:21.96, respectively.
Freshman
Max Campbell placed first in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 54.98. Neal, swimming in at 57.79, took second.
Singler and Garrow finished the 100 Yard IM within seconds of each other. Singler claimed second with a time of 57.63 and Garrow touched third with a time of 58.88.
John Carroll could not finish the day without one last final sweep. The "A", "B", and "C" teams all placed in the top three in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The "A" team of
Westin Fishel,
Michael O'Meara,
Dane Bozsvai, and Rancilio combined efforts for a winning time of 1:32.57. Following suit was the "C" team, with a time of 1:32.75, and then the "B" team, with a time of 1:35.51.
With this win, John Carroll improves their record against Wilmington, now 16-3, since they started swimming against each other in 2000.
John Carroll finishes their regular season with a record of 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the OAC.
The Blue and Gold will next compete at the OAC Championships on February 14-16Â at the University of Akron.
