Andrew Perelka and
Jarrod Brezovec led the way for the Blue Streaks, garnering a combined 40 out of John Carroll's 58 points in the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational, which concluded Saturday at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.
Both finished in fourth place in the 125 pound division and the 141 pound division, respectively, as JCU finished 14th out of 38 teams.

Perelka accumulated two more wins on the second day of competition, including a pin in 45 seconds against Josiah Gehr. That was Perelka's 14th pin of the season. He would finally fall against Muskingum's Jordan Burkholder by a 3-1 decision, garnering fourth place and 22.5 points for the Blue Streaks.
For his efforts over the course of the weekend, Perelka would earn the Jack Schwartz Award for Most Falls in Least Amount of Time. In his eight matches, he collected four pins that amounted to a time of seven minutes and 46 seconds.
Jarrod Brezovec would join his teammate at the fourth spot in the 141 division. Upon moving to the consolation bracket after three straight wins, Brezovec achieved a crucial and momentous win against David Massey of Mount Union. Escaping a takedown in the third period, Brezovec took home the deciding point in the 4-3 decision to move to the third place match.
Upon falling to Jordan Napier of Manchester, Brezovec would take home fourth place for 17.5 points. This is Brezovec's second consecutive year placing in the top five in his division at this tournament.
