2019 OAC Swimmer of the Year Erik Sriubas picked up where he left off with two wins vs Ohio Northern
The true measure of the depth of John Carroll's men's swimming & diving team was on display in the final event of the afternoon in a dual meet with Ohio Athletic Conference rival Ohio Northern.
In the 400 Freestyle Relay, it was the "B" team of freshman
Liam McDonnell, freshman
Aidan O'Neill, freshman
Michael Heller and sophomore
Westin Fishel that won the race in a ime of 3:13.40, edging the "A" relay that featured three 2019 Division III All-Americans (sophomore
Forrest Campbell, senior Matthew Ramsey, freshman
Jacob Farr and sophomore
Adam Lenz) by .08 of a second.
Head coach
Mark Fino spoke of this depth in the preseason and it was on display throughout a convincing 197-83 victory over host Ohio Northern. It was John Carroll's third win in the last four years over the Polar Bears, and represents the largest margin of victory for JCU in the history of the series.
