Another JCU Versus Kalamazoo Women's Tennis Nail-Biter Falls Way Of The Blue Streaks

Box Score For the second consecutive year, John Carroll and Kalamazoo staged a very closely fought women's tennis battle that was decided by a single point.

For the second consecutive year, it was John Carroll prevailing, 5-4, this time in a match played at Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo led 2-1 after doubles, but John Carroll won two of the first three singles matches to even the score at 3-3. Kalamazoo pulled ahead 4-3 with a three-set win at four singles, but the Blue Streaks won at five singles and in three sets at six singles in straight sets to take the match.

Lauren O'Malley and Madisyn Rini were the lone winners in doubles in the #1 position.

In singles play, O'Malley won in straight sets at #1, as did Megan Reese at #3. The match came down to the last two singles matches, where Carlye Campagna rallied to win the third set at #5 singles, and Skye Harwood swept to a victory at #6.

JCU is now 2-0 in duals this year
