Rains Shorten Match But Not JCU Women's Tennis Conference Winning Streak

Box Score John Carroll only completed five matches, but won all five in securing its fourth consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference women's tennis regular season crown.

Lauren O'Malley and Madisyn Rini won over Olivia Schrager and Abigail Staskiewicz in the #1 doubles match, making Rini the all-time leader in doubles wins at John Carroll with 69, breaking the tie she had with Lauren Castagnero, who won 68 from 2003-2006.

Skye Harwood and Megan Reese won a hard fought #2 match over Ohio Northern's veteran duo of Ashley Ochsenhirt and Mackenzie Wills, 8-7 (7-5).

Alyssa Krupp and Carlye Campagna also won at #3 doubles by an 8-6 score.

O'Malley and Reese both won in straight sets at #1 and #3 singles, respectively, for the final points of the day.

JCU is now 13-5 overall and 8-0 in the OAC. 

The Blue Streaks have now won 35 consecutive OAC regular season matches dating back to a 5-4 loss to Ohio Northern on April 4, 2014.
