Men's Swimming & Diving Tallies Victory in Home Opener

| By:
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Blue Streaks continued to roll on Friday, as the John Carroll University Men's Swimming & Diving team defeated the Wilmington College Quakers 174-46.

John Carroll's depth and dominance was put on full display in the commanding victory. Head Coach Tanner Barton got his first win at home, and he is yet to lose a meet, as the Streaks are 3-0 on the season.

"Tonight's meet against Wilmington was a great way to kick off the busy weekend," said Barton. "It was a true team victory, and we highlighted the depth within our program. We entered individuals in events they normally don't compete in, but they rose to the challenge and swam exceptionally fast."

The day started off with a commanding win in the 200 Medley Relay, where the Blue Streaks A, B, and C relays came in first, second and third. The A relay consisted of Liam McDonnell, Adam Lenz, Michael Heller, and Westin Fishel. They won the race with a time of 1:35.34. The B relay was only off by three seconds as they finished with a time of 1:38.88.

Barton was impressed with the strong start.
