At the BW Mid-February Meet, there were a few personal bests that happened throughout the meet, as well as event winners.

Freshman Sara Gennuso would get the day started for the Blue Streaks as she would third overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.48 meters. To continue in the field events, Cara Jewett would go on to win the weight throw and place a personal best with a mark of 14.58 meters, followed by Bre Berwald who placed fourth with a mark of 13.51 meters earning a personal best as well. Three personal bests would come from three athletes in the long jump including Tori Miller (4.93 meters), Olivia Stefka (4.75 meters), and Paige Munchick (4.52 meters). They would all place in the top 10 at the meet. Moving to the track, Mia Scott would continue to excel as she earns another personal best with a time of 7.45 seconds to win the 55 meter dash, followed by Ella Zambruno who earned a personal best with a time of 7.76 seconds. In the mile run, sophomore Emma Hvizdos won the race with a time of 5:37.71. Finishing close by was freshman Ella Julien who ran 5:40.68. Both earned personal bests in their finishes. Senior Annie Higgins adds another personalo best this season; this time in the 1000 meter run winning her heat with a time of 3:06.83.

On Saturday, a small contingent competed at the Spire Collegiate Indoor Games. In the mile race, junior Morgan Edwards runs a personal best with a time of 5:13.27. Sophomore Cassie Klein would earn a personal best in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:52.53 in the afternoon section.

At the BU David Hemery Valentine Invite, history would be created in the women's distance medley relay. The team of Claire Eberhardt, Rosie Murray, Ellie Kitsmiller, and Abby Schroff would break the school record in the event with a time of 12:04.58 to put them 12th in the country. Eberhardt earlier on ran the open 800 meter run and ran an indoor personal best of 2:14.97 to put her 20th in the country.

Coach Daniel Tutskey had a lot to say about the women's distance medley relay and the way they responded coming off of their individual events from earlier. "I was proud of the way Abby competed in the DMR," says Tutskey. "They broke the school record and I'm sure they wanted to run faster, but the way they handled competing their first time ever at BU was great. The ladies weren't fresh going in and it's testament to their hard work and preparation heading into a competitive environment like that."

The women will be back next Friday, February 16th at the Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational, hosted by Case Western Reserve University as they prepare for the OAC Championships in two weeks.
