The Blue Streaks dominated a bevy of events (including the 100 Fly), with some NCAA B cuts earned along the way.
AKRON -- Entering the final day of the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, John Carroll Men's Swimming & Diving remains firmly in the lead.

The Blue Streaks top the pack with 612.5 points to stay in first place.

John Carroll notched four wins and two NCAA B cuts on a very successful Day 3 at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.

The Blue Streaks picked up where they left off last night with a first place finish in the 200 Medley Relay.

Forrest Campbell, Bart Kubis, Bryce Liddell, and Daniel Argalious cruised past the competition with a 1:28:68, good enough for NCAA B cut. That time will likely get the relay to Greensboro for the National Championships.

In the first individual event of the session, the Streaks came out on top with Joe Nadur clocking a 4:02.31 to win the event to become a back-to-back 400 IM champion. Bailey Parsons also dominated with a second place finish, touching with a 4:13.91. Freshman Sam Kmet graced the podium as well with a 4:19.16 and a seventh-place finish.

A duel between Campbell and Baldwin Wallace's Tommy McQueary in the 100 Butterfly came down to hundredths of a second. Both swimmers barely missed the NCAA B cut, but Campbell would be crowned winner with a 48:84 finish. Closely behind, Liddell finished in third at 50:03 for All-OAC honors. Argalious, Owen Holm, Dom Falcon, and Kubis notched fifth through eighth in a fantastic points-producing event for the Blue Streaks.

Aidan O'Neill reached the podium in the 200 Freestyle with a fourth-place time of 1:43:01.

In the 100 Breaststroke, Kubis finished in second place with a strong time of 56:65. He was joined at the podium by Patrick Branch and Yuriy Gorobchuk, who finished fourth and eighth.

Wrapping up with the 100 Backstroke, Campbell once again took first place with a 49:02, good for a well-earned NCAA B cut. Behind Campbell, Luke Novak gave the Blue Streaks the top two spots with a 50:19 time in a great conclusion to the swimming events.

In the 1 Meter diving, senior Jacob Gerald Clark led the way for the Blue Streaks with a 5th place and 300.5 point finish. Andrew Chiappetta followed suit with a 234.9 point and 8th place finish while Clay Bozsvai gained 224.15 points.

Day 4 of the OAC Championships start at 10 am for prelims, continue on with senior recognition, and conclude with the final session at 5:45 pm.
