The women started out the day at the YSU Mid-Major with a bang. Claire Eberhardt opened up the afternoon with a second overall place finish in the 1000m run, achieving a personal best time of 2:59.67.

Immediately after Eberhardt's stellar performance, junior Ellie Kitsmiller would make history. The Baltimore, OH native would finish the 500m with a time of 1:18.09, a new school record. Kitsmiller's record dash was good enough for a third place finish in the heat.

At the Dan Kinsey Invite at Oberlin College, two personal bests were posted in the women's weight throw. Sarah Hart placed fourth with a mark of 12.88 meters, followed by Bre Berwald who would throw a mark of 12.12 meters to finish seventh in the event. Hart came back and posted another personal best in the women's shot put, posting a mark of 11.31 meters.

The women kept the momentum going in Ashland, with Genevieve Arnold placing third in the triple jump, and freshman Sara Gennuso finished in seventh, leaping 10.88m, a personal record. Tori Miller would later accomplish an all time PR,  jumping 4.92m in the long jump event.

The PR's kept on rolling in for the women as their sights set on the short distance events. Genevieve Arnold and Rosie Murray both achieved personal records in the 200m, Arnold at 26.24 seconds, and Murray at 26.48 seconds.

Three PR's would then follow in the 400m. Mia Scott at 1:02.78, Massey Andrykovitch at 1:03.57, and Sara Gennuso at 1:03.79.

Brooke Butler kicked off the long distance events with a dominant performance in the 5K. The senior finished at 19.27.17, an all time personal record.

Following the 5K event was the mile which proved a massive success for the women. Eight Blue Streaks would PR, and first was Sarah Weldon who shined in the second heat of the event finishing with a record time of 5:15.89. Annie Higgins, Grace McKoon, Kelsey Sheridan, Taylor Jasinski, and Katie Vasiliauskas would each follow up in the third heat with PR's of their own. In the fourth heat of the mile Anastasia Bakun would finish in first place with Cassie Klein close behind finishing in second place. Both Bakun and Klein would finish in personal record timing.

To cap off a successful day at the Ashland Jud Logan Light Giver Open Invite, Elizabeth Heim would finish the 800m run in first place, winding up with a PR time of 2:28.70. In the final event of the day, Alyssa Vis and Morgan Edwards would take on the 3000m. The sophomore Vis would win the event with a first place finish that resulted in a PR time of 10:46.89. Morgan Edwards would also PR finishing at 10:20.86.

The Blue Streaks will be back in action in one week for another meet weekend competing at the BW Mid-February Meet, GVSU Big Meet, and the BU Valentine Invite.
