Blue Streaks Begin The Outdoor Track & Field Season At Muskingum For The Amy Adams Memorial Invitational

Rosie Murray Won The 200 Meter Dash At The Amy Adams Memorial Invite

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The women got their 2024 outdoor campaign started as they headed down to Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio for the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational.

Final Results

The Blue Streaks placed seventh out of 15 teams scoring 47 points. Walsh University would take home the meet title with a 152 point total. Case Western Reserve placed second overall with 93 points. Seton Hill (82 points), Baldwin Wallace (72 points), Mount Union (57.50 points), and Lake Erie College (49 points) would round up the top six at the meet.

Competition would start with the women's hammer throw as Sarah Hart would earn a personal best with a mark of 44.40 meters placing sixth overall.

In the women's high jump, freshman Sarah Gennuso would score a top three finish with a mark of 1.50 meters to continue her progression.

Senior Genevieve Arnold would pick up where she left off and win the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.87 seconds. She would go on to place third overall in the 100 meter dash finishing with a time of 12.55 seconds. Junior Mia Scott would follow with a sixth overall place finish, crossing the line in 12.91 seconds.

In the 200 meter dash, sophomore Rosie Murray would win the event with a time of 26.82 seconds to kick off her outdoor campaign for the Blue Streaks. Mia Scott would return with a third place finish with a time of 27.49 seconds and Kaleigh McNamara would round up the scoring, running 27.69 seconds.

The women will be back in action next weekend as they gear up for their first meet weekend of the outdoor season as they will travel to the Bob Kahn Invitational at Oberlin College and the Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
