Women's Golf Competes Against Calvin to Begin the Spring

The Blue Streaks enjoyed the Florida weather on Wednesday. 
DAVENPORT, Fla. – Enjoying the warmer Florida air, John Carroll Women's Golf got the spring started on Wednesday.

The Blue Streaks faced off with Calvin University in a dual at Providence Golf Club on Wednesday.

The Knights finished with a team score of 328, besting John Carroll's team score of 367. 

RESULTS

Amanda Pancake helmed the effort for the Blue Streaks. The Columbus native turned in a wonderful score of 81 (+9) to guide the Blue & Gold. The junior finished in second place only behind Calvin's Chandler Sjoerdsma, who shot an amazing 74. 

Colleen Vredenburg performed well in the first spring action of the season. The veteran carded an 88 to tie for sixth in the field. 

Jennifer Crowley notched a 98 and Anna Schramko marked down a 100 to complete JCU's team score, Amanda Millis registered a 104 to round things out. 

After enjoying a bit more of the weather and some practice, the Blue Streaks will head home to prep for the meat of the spring schedule. John Carroll's next action will be on March 23, as JCU will take part in the Mount Union Invitational.
