Four teams from the WIAC (Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) swept the podium finishes. The University of Wisconsin La-Crosse scored 74 points to take home the team title, Wisconsin Eau Claire was the runner-up scoring 52 points, Wisconsin Oshkosh scored 51 points placing third, and Wisconsin Whitewater scored 37 points to round up the podium finishes.

John Carroll scored 21 points competing in four events on day 2 to place fifth overall, which was the highest program finish at an indoor track & field national championship meet and third consecutive top 6 finish since 2022.

"On paper we weren't supposed to be a top 5 team this weekend, but that's why you show up and compete," exclaimed Basista. "We relied heavily on upperclassmen and their past experiences at the national level. That paid major dividends over the course of the last two days. We've been fortunate to create a strong foundation and culture the last few years, to see that continue this year with a Top 5 finish is special. We're forever grateful for our senior leadership."

Starting the day off was Ethan Domitrovich, as he would place sixth overall in the mile final with a time of 4:07.65 earning All-American honors and also running a personal best. This would be Domitrovich's fifth All-American honor all time at JCU and his first in the mile.

Next was sophomore Basheer Alramahi in the 400 meter dash as he would come away with his second consecutive All-American accolade in the event, placing third overall with a time of 47.08 seconds. This is also the second straight third place finish for Alramahi. It was his 5th All-American honor along with a school record.

Caleb Correia came into today's 800 meter final winning the prelims yesterday and ended his indoor career earning his first individual All-American honor placing third overall with a time of 1:51.69. Correia adds his fifth All-American honor to his resume.

To conclude the day, the men's 4 x 400 meter relay consisting of Tyler Gast, Garrett Clark, Caleb Correia, and Basheer Alramahi placed third overall in a stacked field, earning All-American honors crossing the line with a time of 3:12.93. This is the second consecutive All-American finish for the men's 4 x 400 meter relay. For Gast, this is his third All-American all on relays.

Coach Daniel Tutskey was very pleased with the way the men competed today against the best in the country. "I am proud of the way they competed and represented the program all season long. It wasn't the result they wanted, but the team benefited the most out of this finish. This is what they'll be remembered for. They elevated the program to another level and set the standard for others to reach to that level."

Tutskey had lots of praise for his senior and veteran leadership from Garrett Clark, who broke the record for most combined indoor/outdoor track All-Americans in program history, earning his 11th with the 4x 400 meter All-American.

Garrett Clark capped off his indoor career collecting his 11th All-American honor. The veteran sprinter is now two honors away from matching the most in John Carroll history and has solidified himself as one of the most decorated athletes in school history. "Garrett is a silent leader, whose contributions to our team go far beyond his honors. Athletes like Garrett cannot be replaced and the legacy he will leave behind far outweighs his honor. I started at JCU in 2021 and Garrett I don't have the words to describe my appreciation for him. He has made an impact on my career and has made me a better coach."

The Blue Streaks will transition into the outdoor season with a lot of momentum, knowledge, and experience after coming off another historic weekend and another successful year of indoor track & field.
