The Blue Streaks enjoyed the fantastic, albeit windy, weather at Fox Den.
STOW – While rain ruined Day 1, Mother Nature painted a beautiful Day 2 on Sunday.

Playing in gorgeous, sunny, warm weather, the Blue Streaks hosted the John Carroll Invitational. The wind was a bit gusty, but the complaints were minimal, as it was an otherwise perfect day for golf after a not-so-fun weather week.

The Blue Streaks finished second with a team score of 367 at Fox Den Golf Course in Stow.

RESULTS

Amanda Pancake helmed the effort for the Blue & Gold. The Columbus native played even keeled over the course of the day, with a 42 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine, as a host of par holes helped her out. The junior's 84 secured her fifth place.

Isabella Mineo enjoyed a strong start, as the Kent native fired up a 41 on the front nine. The momentum didn't stay for the final nine holes, but the junior's score of 90 placed her in 12th.

Anna Schramko started and ended the day with par efforts for the Blue Streaks. The senior and team leader carded a 94 for the day, with plenty of promising moments sprinkled throughout.

Jennifer Crowley finished strong down the stretch for JCU. The Michigander concluded her round with three straight par holes. The junior finished with a 99. Rebecca Abbott rounded things out for JCU with a 101.

Mount Union won the event with a score of 334 and the Purple Raiders' Jocelyn Troyer was the medalist with a 78.

The regular season will conclude for John Carroll next week. The Blue Streaks head to the Defiance Invitational for a two-day event in Ottawa, Ohio.
