Transitioning to the Tiffin Track Carnival hosted by Heidelberg University, the women took advantage of the opportunity.

In the women's 100 meter dash, Genevieve Arnold would continue to make her senior year a tremendous and yet, memorable one as she would break the school record in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.98 seconds to put her seventh in Division III currently. She broke the previous record by .07 seconds and is now a part of five school records at John Carroll. Just last week, she ran the fastest time in the OAC and is still currently #1 in the event.

Junior Mia Scott would excel to a personal best in the 100 meter dash as well placing 14th overall with a time of 12.46 seconds.

In the women's 200 meter dash, Arnold would return and run 25.77 seconds placing 17th, followed by Rosie Murray who ran 26.34 seconds and Kaleigh McNamara finishing with a time of 26.87 seconds.

In the distance events, sophomore Alyssa Vis would run a personal best in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:24.94 placing fifth overall.

For the first time since Spring 2022, junior Emmaline Hannan would return to the track and make an appearance in the 1500 meter race. She would place fourth overall with a time of 5:04.10, followed by sophomore Carlee Blankenship placing fifth, clocking in at 5:04.32. It was an exciting moment for Hannan and the rest of the team as she is finally racing for the Blue Streaks again.

It was a late night of racing for some of the women in the distance events as Sarah Weldon would make her first appearance of the outdoor season in the 10k as she would place fourth overall with a time of 38:16.00, earning a personal best.

In the 3000 meter steeplechase, both Grace McKoon (12:03.64) and Elizabeth Heim (12:56.94) would earn personal bests in the process for the Blue Streaks.

Ellie Kitsmiller would continue her progression in the 800 meter championship race as she would place sixth overall with a time of 2:15.91 in a highly competitive race. This time would put her fourth in the OAC.

The women's 1500 meter run was an exciting one as senior Claire Eberhardt would earn her second straight personal best in the event with a time of 4:36.74 to put her second in the OAC.

In the women's triple jump, Tori Miller would place ninth overall with a mark of 4.55 meters.

The women will be back competing next week in another meet weekend on tap. A small contingent will be competing at the Jesse Owens Classic at Ohio State on Friday and most of the team will be making appearances at the Sparky Adams Invite at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday.

Big things are in store for this group as they strive for improvement and success with bigger meets coming up on the schedule.
