Blue Streaks Put Final Touches On 2023-2024 Season Competing At The Mount Union Last Chance Meet

ALLIANCE, Ohio - This past Thursday, the Blue Streaks traveled to Alliance, Ohio for the Mount Union Last Chance Meet for qualifying marks to the NCAA Outdoor Championships next week. 

The women posted solid performances to conclude the 2023-2024 regular season and will now prepare for championship racing on the horizon. 

Final Results - Mount Union Last Chance

To get things started, in the women's long jump, senior Genevieve Arnold would continue her success as she would win the event with a mark of 5.41 meters. 

Transitioning to the track events, the women's 4x100 meter relay of Genevieve Arnold, Mia Scott, Ella Zambruno, and Rosie Murray would place third overall with a time of 47.64 seconds. 

In the women's 100 meter dash final, Arnold would win that event with a time of 12.23 seconds, followed by Scott (12.60 seconds), Zambruno (13.02 seconds), and Kaleigh McNamara (13.18 seconds) who would all place in the top five. 

Senior Claire Eberhardt would earn herself another personal best in one week, placing second overall in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:13.97, followed by junior Ellie Kitsmiller, who would place fourth with a time of 2:18.04. 

The women will now wait to see the final selections for the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which will take place Thursday-Saturday May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Stadium. The final selections/marks will be announced tonight at 8:00 PM on NCAA.com.
