Blue Streaks Sit At Third Place In Recent OAC Preseason Coaches Poll
WESTERVILLE – It is that time of the year again as the Blue Streaks are set to kick off the indoor track & field season for 2025.

The women have placed in the top three in the OAC for the past eight years and will look to continue to be successful in the conference for the last year as they enter the North Coast Athletic Conference next fall.

With a total of 64 points, the Blue Streaks sit at third place heading into this year's indoor track & field season as released by the OAC from earlier today.

Mount Union leads the way with a total of 79 points and seven first place votes, while the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern sit at second with a total of 74 points and three first place votes.

Baldwin Wallace comes in at fourth with 55 points and rounding up the top five is Otterbein with 53 points. Wilmington (41), Muskingum (29), Capital (19), Muskingum (19), and Marietta (17) shape the rest of the conference on the women's side.

Looking at performances from last year, the women placed third overall at the 2024 OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Muskingum University. The Blue Streaks came away with 13 All-OAC performances, as well as four OAC Champions and three school records.

With lots of promise, the women are looking to take that next step in elevating the program to a whole new level as they bring in talented individuals and a few experienced veterans.

The indoor season will fully kick off next Friday, January 17th as they travel to Ohio Northern University for the Rob & Patty Lydic Invitational.
