Women's Basketball Slated Third in NCAC Preseason Coaches Poll

| By:

The Blue Streaks are hoping to start strong in the NCAC era

The preseason rankings from the 2025-26 North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll are in. For John Carroll's Women's Basketball team, they rank third out of eight teams with a total of 52 points.

DePauw tops the poll with 58 points and five first-place votes, while Denison tallied 53 points and the other three first-place votes.

Last season, the Blue Streaks finished out their time in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a record of 19-7. JCU reached the OAC Tournament once again, a trademark of the Beth Andrews era.

With nine first years joining the team, John Carroll has a strong balance of fresh and experienced talent going into the NCAC. A powerful senior class includes Ava Ryncarz, a First Team All-OAC selection last year, and Graci Semptimphelter, an Honorable Mention All-OAC pick, along with plenty of other strong, veteran talent.

JCU is set to host the Winking Lizard Tip-Off Tournament at home in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center on November 7-8 to start the season. JCU will do battle with Alma College and Wheaton College to begin the year.
