Welcome to the weekend, Blue Streaks! Here's your weekend preview.

John Carroll student-athletes are buckled up as they travel around Ohio and the surrounding states for this weekend's competitions.

Volleyball

After capping off their season with a 5-game win streak, the John Carroll Volleyball team enters the semifinal round of the NCAC Tournament. The Blue Streaks travel to Springfield, Ohio in order to face the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday, November 14 at 5 pm.

When the teams met earlier this season, the Blue Streaks brought home the victory, 3-1. If JCU does so again, they will move on to the final on Saturday at 1 pm.

Women's Soccer

Newly crowned NCAC champions after a 1-0 win last weekend, the JCU Women's Soccer team enters the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

Heading to Lake Forest, Illinois on Saturday, November 15, the team is slated to compete against the Carleton College Knights. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 2:30 ET/1:30 CT.

Football

John Carroll Football has enjoyed an astounding first season in the NCAC. With a current record of 8-1 and a 7-game win streak against conference competitors, the Blue Streaks are set to travel to Granville for a final regular season game against Denison University.

Kickoff is set for 1 pm on Saturday, November 15. A win would secure the conference title outright, though JCU has already secured the NCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs.

Cross Country

The John Carroll Men's and Women's Cross Country teams head down to Louisville, KY for the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regional Championships.

Recently earning the title of NCAC champions with a program record 24 points, the men's team will compete in the Men's 8k Championship race at 10 am.

The NCAC runner-ups, the women's team will follow them and compete in the Women's 6k Championship race at 11 am.

Swimming and Diving

JCU Women's and Men's Swimming and Diving remain at home this weekend. With both teams adding dominating wins to their records last weekend, the Blue Streaks look to compete with the same high intensity against NCAC rival Denison University for their first match-up in program history.

The meet is scheduled to start at 2 pm on Saturday, November 15 at 2 pm in Johnson Natatorium.

Women's Basketball

Starting their season with a 3-game win streak at home, the JCU Women's Basketball will travel for the first time to play Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, PA. The teams have a decades long history playing one another but have not met since 2021.

Looking to continue their success, the Blue Streaks and Tartans face off at 6 pm on Friday, November 14. JCU is ranked #14 and CMU carries a #17 ranking in the D3hoops.com poll, making for a very interesting early-season matchup.

Men's Basketball

This weekend sees the start to John Carroll's Men's Basketball season. Exiting the OAC as champions, the Blue Streaks enter the NCAC ready to prove they can do the same in a new conference.

The team is set to head to Tiffin for the Ron Linhart Memorial Classic. On Friday, November 14 at 7:30 pm, they will face The University of Olivet before playing Heidelberg University on Saturday, November 15 at 3 pm.

Wrestling

The JCU Wrestling has a busy weekend. On Saturday, November 15, a handful of men's wrestlers head to the University of Findlay to compete in the Findlay Open.

The next day, Sunday, November 16, Women's and Men's Blue Streak Wrestling heads north to Albion, MI to participate in the Albion Invitational. The competition is set to start at 10 am.

Club Hockey

JCU's Club Hockey travels to Pittsburgh, PA to face the University of Pittsburgh on Friday, November 14 at 8:20 pm. Both teams return to Cleveland on Saturday, November 15 to face off at Gilmour Academy at 6 pm.
