Winking Lizard will show the Blue Streaks at the Mayfield and Lakewood locations

LAKEWOOD & MAYFIELD – Looking to watch John Carroll Blue Streaks games but can't hit the road?

Winking Lizard Tavern has you covered.

Winking Lizard's Lakewood and Mayfield Heights locations will now show John Carroll Football and Basketball games live for all fans to enjoy. Owner John Lane '82 is spearheading the initiative.

"We are thrilled to partner with John Carroll Athletics and stream football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games during the 2025-2026 year at our Mayfield Heights and Lakewood locations. My wife Mollie and I have been supporters of the Women's Basketball team for years and we're proud to provide a great atmosphere for supporters of John Carroll Athletics to gather to cheer on the Blue Streaks," said John Lane '82, owner of Winking Lizard Tavern.

Winking Lizard Tavern is one of Northeast Ohio's top restaurant chains, including incredible wings and a menu full of options for the whole family. Winking Lizard is a destination spot to watch sports, now including JCU games.

For John Carroll fans, having another spot to watch the Blue Streaks, particularly when JCU is on the road, is a game-changer. For starters, JCU Men's Basketball plays in Cincinnati this weekend and any remaining JCU football games this season will be shown.

"For decades, people in Cleveland have been saddling up to bar stools at Winking Lizard to cheer on their teams and now fans of the Blue Streaks will be able to do just that," said Executive Director of Alumni Engagement Rory O'Neil '06. "We are so thankful to John for his years of support for John Carroll and we are thrilled to be working with him and his team on this exciting partnership."
