Men’s Track & Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Status And Six All-Academic Athletes

These Six Athletes Earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Status From The 2024-2025 Track & Field Seasons
NEW ORLEANS – The John Carroll Men's Track & Field program continues to impress not only on the track, but in the classroom as well. 

Today, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the 2025 All-Academic athletes and teams from this past season in both indoor and outdoor track & field. 

On the men's side, there were a total of six Blue Streak athletes that have secured All-Academic status individually. 

As a team, the men's team earned an average GPA of 3.351, earning All-Academic Team status. 

The six individuals that represent the Blue Streaks for this award include Basheer Alramahi (Biology), Tyler Gast (Business Administration), Max Grillo (Exercise Science), Jimmy Kartsonas (Finance, Financial Planning, & Wealth Management), Matthew Russo (Chemistry), and Tony Tirado (Clinical Psychology). 

This group of athletes have represented the program at various levels, as well as excelling in their academics throughout the year. 

Back in June, the men concluded the season earning a 15th place finish in the 2024-2025  USTFCCCA Division III Al Carius Men's Program of the Year.
