Basheer Alramahi Wins NCAC Sprinter Of The Week After Running The Number One Time In The 800 Meter Run In Division III

CLEVELAND – The senior from Westlake, Ohio can really do it all.

This past Friday, December 5th, the men's track & field program traveled to Youngstown State University for the YSU Icebreaker to kick off the 2025-2026 campaign.

In his first time competing in the 800 meter run of his career, Basheer Alramahi would go on to run the fastest time in Division III and also earn the victory by two seconds.

His time of 1:51.78 is just one second shy of breaking the indoor school record; a great way to kick off his final year as a Blue Streak.

The future is bright for Basheer as he now looks to pick up where he left off last year.

Alramahi and the team will now look towards preparing for the first ever JCU Alumni Meet set to take place on Saturday, January 17th at the Athletic Wellness & Event Center.
