Women's Tennis Slated Fourth in NCAC Preseason Coaches Poll

The Blue Streaks are looking to make noise as new members of the NCAC

CLEVELAND – The North Coast Athletic Conference has released the results of the annual coaches preseason poll. 

For the first season in the NCAC, JCU Women's Tennis have secured the fourth spot, gaining 42 points in the process. 

Kenyon College is the preseason favorite to win the conference, getting 8 votes and 64 points in the process. The Owls are looking to get their fourth consecutive NCAC title. 

JCU Women's Tennis will come into spring play 1-0 from their fall contest where they beat Grove City 7-0. The Blue Streaks are looking to add another win and start NCAC play off on a high note. 

A season ago in the Ohio Athletic Conference, the Blue Streaks finished with an 11-3 mark, 4-1 in conference play. John Carroll reached the OAC Tournament Final. 

The Blue Streaks open up their spring season and NCAC play against the defending champions, Kenyon College, on February 8 in Gambier.
