CLEVELAND – The fall season belongs to Julia Gulla.

The sophomore loves to play with the leaves falling, as the star always shines in the fall.

For the second time this season and fifth time in her career, Gulla is the North Coast Athletic Conference's Athlete of the Week for women's golf.

The Nordonia grad finished the fall on a great note. Gulla won the Cleveland Cup hosted by Baldwin Wallace. In the first round at Grey Hawk Golf Club on Sunday, October 18, Gulla opened with a three-over-par score of 75, highlighted by an eagle on No. 1. 

In her second 18 holes on Monday, Gulla gritted out a 78. The Sagamore Hills native notched a par and two birdies in her final three holes to help JCU hold off Mount Union for the team title. 

Individually, Gulla won the medalist honors easily by an impressive eight strokes.

Gulla and the Blue Streaks will look to keep things rolling when the spring season comes around.
