In the 60 meter dash final, Dakota ran 7.65 seconds to place seventh overall to become a First-Team All-American and secure the first one of the weekend.

That didn't stop there as Houston secured another All-American finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.23 seconds to place fourth overall.

In the prelims, Dakota broke both school records; ultimately helping her land two more accolades in her name at the national championships.

Both Dakota and Alyssa Vis helped the Blue Streaks place 29th overall in Division III.

"I'm very blessed with how everything went this weekend," said Dakota. "Placing in two events and going for three has been absolutely amazing. I'm grateful for the opportunity to compete and really thankful for my coaches and everyone who supports me."

Since 2020, the women have qualified 30 athletes including relays, where 10 of them have been named All-American (33.33%).

In the sprints, jumps, and hurdles category, the women have qualified 15 athletes with seven of them earning All-American during their careers.

A remarkable accomplishment for the women's track & field program as they will now shift to the outdoor season, which will begin in two weeks.
