Women’s Track & Field Excels In Last Chance Meet Weekend

Women's Distance Medley Relay Breaks School Record This Weekend At Wartburg
ADA, OH & WAVERLY, IA – The Blue Streaks keep making history this indoor season. 

After posting two new school records, the women will now await for the NCAA to announce the qualifying marks for the indoor national championships taking place in one week.

Some of the most notable performances from this weekend are included below:

Dakota Houston (60 Meter Dash): 7.65
Tori Miller (Triple Jump): 11.15
Morgan Dobos, Sandra King, Natalie Chryst, & Abby Schroff (DMR): 11:58.12
Alyssa Vis (Mile): 4:56.09
Abby Schroff (Mile): 4:58.70
Morgan Dobos (Mile): 5:10.58
Paige Munchick (400 Meter Dash): 58.58

On Friday, the women's distance medley relay of Morgan Dobos, Sandra King, Natalie Chryst, and Abby Schroff broke the school record by two seconds, placing seventh overall in the race with a time of 11:58.12. This group competed against some of the best relays in Division III and competed well from start to finish. 

For the second consecutive week, the mile school record was broken. Senior Alyssa Vis ran 4:56.09 to place third overall, followed by her teammate Abby Schroff running 4:58.70 to place fifth. 

This was also the second time Vis shattered the mile school record this indoor season. 

Paige Munchick ran her third-fastest 400 meter dash this season as well for the Blue Streaks.

The women's track & field team will travel to Birmingham, Alabama for the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex next Friday-Saturday, March 13th-14th.
