Abby Schroff Named NCAC Women's Mid/Distance Athlete Of The Week After Stellar Finish In The 10000 Meter Race At Bucknell This Past Weekend

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – The senior can really do it all on the track.

For the first time in her four year career at JCU, Schroff competed in the 10000 meter run at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University this past Saturday.

The result for her was incredible. Her time of 35:43.30 puts her at 15th in Division III, as well as first in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Running against all divisions, Abby was able to place 13th overall out of 41 runners in the invite section of the race. She was 13 seconds away from breaking the school record as well.

This was her fourth time competing at the meet in her career and what a way to make a last impression, earning her second NCAC Athlete of the Week accolade this track & field season.

Schroff and the rest of the women's track & field team will compete in another split squad weekend as they will travel for the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia and Baldwin Wallace for the 56th Sparky Adams Invitational in Berea, Ohio on Friday-Saturday, April 17th-18th.
