Women’s Track & Field Takes On Mount Union Classic

Women's Track & Field Traveled To Alliance, Ohio This Past Thursday For The Mount Union Classic
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Blue Streaks made the trip to the University of Mount Union this past Thursday, April 23rd for one of their last regular season meets of the season. 

The meet ended earlier than expected as a lightning delay canceled the rest of the meet.

Breanna Berwald (Discus Throw): 36.45 (119' 7")
Natalie Chryst (800 Meter Run): 2:19.52
Aniela Balog (Long Jump): 5.44 (17' 10.25")
Sarah Hart (Hammer Throw): 46.62 (152' 11")

The duo of Sarah Hart and Breanna Berwald both earned top 10 finishes in the discus and hammer throw events.

Hart earned a new personal best in the hammer with a mark of 46.62 meters, while Berwald placed seventh overall, earning a mark of 36.45 meters.

Aniela Balog placed third overall in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.44 meters. 

The women will now prepare for championship competition with just one week remaining until the NCAC Outdoor Championships at Kenyon College.

The Blue Streaks will travel to Ashland University for the Ashland Alumni Invite this Saturday, April 25th, just one week before the 2026 NCAC Outdoor Championships at Kenyon College.
