All 5 Blue Streaks turned in a strong round of golf on Saturday

WARREN, Ohio – The rain went away, but the cold did not for Round 2 of the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. But John Carroll Men's Golf didn't seem to mind.

Despite a herd of strong challengers behind them, the Blue Streaks continue to hold their own in front of the pack at Avalon Lakes at Avalon Golf & Country Club.

With all five golfers performing well, the Blue Streaks increased the team lead to nine strokes with a tally of 299 in Round 2, matching the score from Round 1. Kenyon is lurking nine strokes back, while Wittenberg trails by 10 strokes and DePauw is behind by 11.

Justy VonLehmden continued to pace the team. After a bogey to begin the day, the junior went on a heater, highlighted by birdies on No. 3 and 5 to register a one-under-par front nine. With five straight par holes to end it, VonLehmden concluded the day with a 75. He'll enter the final day two strokes behind the leader, Andrew Wall of DePauw.

Wade Boyle did a solid job on the front nine, including a nice birdie on No. 7. The Greensburg, Pennsylvania native recorded a birdie on No. 14, lucky 7's. Boyle accumulated a three-over-par score for the day, remaining in position for all-tournament team honors in third place.

Daniel Donahue, London Hoyser, and Austin Malley are all tied for ninth place heading into the final day of action. That fact tells the story of this JCU team: A strong, well-rounded squad with no weak links.

Hoyser fired into the turn even with five par holes to start and a birdie on No. 9. The Pittsford, New York native achieved six straight par holes on the back nine, part of a strong effort. The junior carded a 75 (+3).

Daniel Donahue excelled to begin his Saturday, achieving par on all but one hole on the front nine. A birdie on No. 14 served as the high point of the back nine, part of a three-over-par score of 75 for the day.

Austin Malley snagged par on seven of the first nine holes in a very solid start. His back nine was even better, with birdies on No. 14 and 17 helping him finish even. For the day, Malley tagged a 74 (+2), good enough to move up the leaderboard.
