Schroff & King’s School Record Performances Headline Women’s Track & Field At Harrison Dillard Twilight

Abby Schroff Broke The School Record In The 5000 Meter Run With A Time Of 16:55.14
BEREA, Ohio – After securing the NCAC Outdoor Championship crown last week, the Blue Streaks took part in the Harrison Dillard Twilight hosted at Baldwin Wallace University. 

The women's track & field team will be competing in a couple of last chance meets before earning their qualifications to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in two weeks. 

George Finnie Stadium magic was alive and well as two athletes from the women's side earned new school records.

Sophomore Sandra King broke her own school record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.74 seconds, winning the event for the Blue Streaks and broke the record by .06 seconds. 

Aya Alramahi (59.97 seconds) and Jayda Champer (1:00.18) both earned personal bests in the 400 meter dash as well. 

Competing in her second race of the 2026 season, Samantha Goodnough placed 14th overall in the 800 meter run, earning a new personal best of 2:19.35. 

In the last race of the evening, the 5000 meter squad showed up last night for JCU.
Senior Abby Schroff broke the outdoor 5000 meter school record with a time of 16:55.14, placing second overall. The record held by Shannon McConville lasted since 2005. Schroff is currently 26th in Division III. 

Sydney Wingler (17:57.52), Kelsey Sheridan (18:14.68), Kylie Bennington (18:15.72), and Maddie Harrington (18:25.26) all earned personal bests in the same race for the Blue Streaks. It was a total team effort from start to finish. 

The women's track & field program will now look to earn more qualifying marks in these final meets of the regular season before competing at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

The Blue Streaks will travel to
Augustana College for the Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier in Rock Island, Illinois, while a small group will compete at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet in Alliance, Ohio on Wednesday and Thursday, May 13th-14th.
