The Blue Streaks ended the 2025 season at #5 in the D3football.com rankings

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – On the heels of a fantastic 2025 campaign, expectations are lofty for John Carroll Football in 2026.

Just under two months remain in the offseason, but the preseason prognostications are trickling out as the summer progresses.

Lindy's ranks the Blue Streaks at No. 5 in its annual preseason top 10 rankings for NCAA Division III.

In 2025, the Blue Streaks enjoyed a historic campaign ending in the NCAA Division III Semifinal, just the third such trip in program history. John Carroll finished with a 12-2 mark and a number of high-profile victories, including a win at #11/9 DePauw in the regular season and a conquest of #2 Mount Union in the Third Round of the playoffs.

John Carroll graduated many stars on the offensive side of the ball, but returns the entire offensive line plus plenty of studs in the defensive secondary. Talent also abounds at running back, linebacker, and many other positions.

A new era is set to commence under first year Head Coach Brian Polian '97. The season starts with a road game at Carnegie Mellon on Saturday, September 5. The home opener will be under the lights vs. Kenyon on Saturday, September 19 at 6 pm.

North Central tops the Lindy's poll, with Mount Union, Bethel, and Wartburg ranked above JCU. Johns Hopkins, UW-Platteville, Wheaton, St. John's, and UW-La Crosse round out the top 10.
