The Blue Streaks have a busy weekend, with 4 home games and 3 teams celebrating their seniors!

Happy Friday, Blue Streaks!

Plenty of action happening at home this weekend to keep up with; here's what to expect:

Volleyball

A definitive 3-0 win over Penn State Behrend earlier this week leads into this weekend for the Blue Streaks. Friday will be their third game this week, and the team is aiming to maintain their winning streak going into the Buffalo State Bengal Challenge.

The Blue Streaks will face SUNY Geneseo Friday, September 18 at 7 pm before taking on Buffalo State Saturday, September 19 at 12 pm and the University of Rochester at 2 pm.

Club Hockey

This weekend marks the season opener for Blue Streaks Hockey. After a 19-13-1 season last year and making it to the second round of the CHMA Playoff Tournament, the team is aiming for a bigger and better season.

The Blue Streaks take the ice at home at Gilmour Academy Friday, September 18, at 8:10 pm and Saturday, September 19, at 3:30 pm against Villanova University.

Women's Soccer

A tie earlier this week takes John Carroll Women's Soccer into their senior day this weekend. Brooke Berkowitz had her third goal of the season, and Madison Skeese had 8 saves on the night.

Presented on Rock Entertainment Sports Network, the Blue Streaks kick off on Saturday, September 19 at 11:05 am at Don Shula Stadium against Penn State Behrend.

Field Hockey

After a big win at home for their home opener, the Blue Streaks are on the hunt for another win. A 1v1 in the second penalty shootout saw Sophia Schultheis drill the ball into the back of the net for the team's first-ever win.

Hosting DePauw University on Saturday, September 19 at 12 pm, the game will be dedicated to Morgan's Message.

Men's Soccer

A hard-fought defensive battle against Penn State Behrend led John Carroll Men's Soccer to a tie at home this week. Harley Forkins fired the ball into the opposing net within the first two minutes of the game, and a strong performance from the defensive line kept the score 1-1.

The game this Saturday, September 19 kicks off at 2 pm at Don Shula Stadium against Marietta College for Senior Day, McCarthy Weekend, and SYSA youth night.

Football

Blue Streaks Football is coming off a powerful 44-7 win over Ohio Wesleyan last weekend. QB Tyler Green had a great game, completing 19-of-26 passes for 287 yards with his favorite receiving targets, Shane Lindstrom and Nico McBride, gaining 90+ yards each.

Don Shula Stadium sees senior night for football this Saturday, September 19, at 6:05 pm against Kenyon College. The game will be broadcast on Rock Entertainment Sports Network.

Men's and Women's Golf

John Carroll's golf teams both placed well at the Jimmy Hanlin Invitational last weekend. The men's team placed 3rd overall and the women's A team placed 2nd, with the B team placing 4th.

Both teams are traveling to Meadville, PA to participate in the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational on Sunday, September 20th and Monday, September 21st.
