Notre Dame successfully defended its title with 163.5 points to outlast Cortland State which tallied 147.5. John Carroll amassed 56.5 points on the strength of four placewinners.
Suba had the best day by a Blue Streak in terms of victories as he won six matches in placing third at 157 pounds. After splitting his first two bouts, he closed the day with five straight wins and outscored his final four opponents by a 29-4 margin.
Adams went 4-1 in placing third at 184 pounds. He shook off a loss in the semifinals at 184 pounds to win his final two matches in convincing fashion. he won his third-place bout by a 13-0 score.
