Lee Jennings was unstoppable in leading the Streaks to a 103-95 victory on the road

Further cementing herself in the John Carroll Blue Streak record books, Lee Jennings dropped a career and school-record 45 points on a Bethany squad that couldn't find the solution to stop the scoring sensation in a 103-95 victory for JCU at the W&J Tip-Off Classic.

Box Score

The Streaks got off to a rocky start in the first half, netting only 11 buckets on .314 shooting from the floor. Their opponents on the other hand, in Bethany made 18 of their 40 attempts to close out the half with a, 45-33 lead. No one would have ever guess how the seconnd half would've turn out as JCU looked like a team possessed.

The Blue Streaks turned around their shooting woes to the tune of 70 points on 20-31 shooting from the floor. Numerous reasons were contributing factors to the turn around in the second half, but none as pivotal as Jennings' 45 points (15-26 FG) in 35 minutes.

Carroll was also hot from outside, shooting 6 of 8 from three-point range in the second half.

On the game, four Streaks scored in double-figures including 22 points from transfer Emilee Ritchie, 16 points by freshman Missy Spahar and a lucky 13 points from senior guard Sadie Zander

Bethany College was led by Renee Shepherd with 19 points on 7-12 shooting.

John Carroll is now 3-0 to start a season for the first time since 1993-94.
